PLANS Mostly building a CR base. Reuniting with Billy Kaplan, possible adventures with Magneto, and building both of those relationships. He'll be possibly teaching some low-level sorcery to a few select students, depending on how the idea itself is received. Otherwise, he plans on traveling around to see some of the sights along Dorchadas (and further, depending). He'll be looking into the sorcery within the world, as well as various kinds of sorcerous explosives, and different kinds of poisons. He'll want to examine the political structure, myths and find out more of the details about the war itself. There may be some rebellions and messing-up-of-things included in this, possibly with anti-shardbearer sentiments. SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS ✖ Part-time adjunct professor of illusion at a mage uni. Spreading the general illusion bits around town. Gaining some very interesting information from said exploits. ✖ Saber's super super super secret R&D project. There will be trials and errors. ✖ Possible dabblings with the Midnight Court. ✖ Rin, Johnny, Magneto, Zuko, Sansa, Sam, Maleficent QUESTS ✖ REDGATE | The Walking Dead TIMELINE OF EVENTS SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May) MARCH—Roc, the king of the birds, throws some awful snowstorms across drabwuld. Since Loki's a frost giant, he likely won't become a Lokisicle, but he'll try to find some creative ways to get people un-frozen. MARCH—Boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons. APRIL—Histrionic Loki with a crazy emotionally-driving harp in his dreams. He'll find it and destroy it. This also might be an interesting time for his CR, since he'll be a little more sensitive and vulnerable. APRIL—Boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons. MAY—Golden swans migrate, devouring and destroying. Loki will be capturing and collecting them to gain some wealth. MAY—Possibly beginning to find a place to settle after the monarchs leave. Teaching some low-level chaos magic to a few new faces that he's possibly bunking with. SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug) OVERVIEW—Refining his own abilities (depending on his boons) and continuing to foster the chaos magic abilities of those who may be around him during that time. Also helping Billy Kaplan with his finesse. JUNE—Checking on some of the Jabberwock sites that are affected with the rot. He can't do much in regards to healing, but it'll be a good opportunity to meet CR with the people who may have a better those abilities. JUNE—pOSSIBLE MAGICAL TOURNEY?? Using magic? Probably not, but he's very curious to see what other people in the world can do, so he may check it out for observational purposes, and to see if he can learn any new tricks. JULY—The sudden violence wrought by the anti-shardbearer demonstration hits a head, and Loki heads to investigate. Possible meetings with Magneto about this, as well as Acts of Vengeance 2: Electric Bugaloo, but with more good intentions. AUGUST—That sure is a bazaar, Sansa. Insert domestic bazaar stuff here. AUGUST—Leathann's Festival of Lights. SCREW THAT, WE'RE GOING TO THE FESTIVAL OF SHADOWS. Domestic festival stuff here. FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov) SEPTEMBER—The magic that allows everyone to understand Drabbish goes nuts. Loki has the All-Tongue and can translate. Who am I kidding? He's going to mistranslate everything for everyone. Enjoy your miscommunications. SEPTEMBER—Drunk. OCTOBER—Drunk. OCTOBER—Oh Black Shuck too. NOVEMBER—Rounding up some of the mages/sorcerers from the Leathann prison break—but he's more willing to make deals than he is to turn them in. He'll be looking to gain whatever he can experience-wise/magic-wise/knowledge-wise from the escaped criminals. He also isn't against rounding them up, depending. WINTER IN 2,701/2,702 (Dec, Jan, Feb) DECEMBER—Drunk hunt. JANUARY—Heading back to Caer Scima to blow raspberries at the Seelie from a long ways away. IT'S REBUILT, TAKE THAT, SEELIE. Nico and I have been keeping everything really top secret since we started. I don't know if anybody on his side really knows what he's doing, and you Billy and Jason are the only ones who know on our side. We usually train during the day and work in the night and we travel at night when nobody's around. We're being as discrete as possible.

[All said with his face in the mattress.] We've also been working in neutral territories only. At least until we can get our shards hidden.

[ Loki looks thoughtful. hiding his shard signature might at least cause confusion for anyone who has a gun pointed at his back. ]

Separately, of course.

[ any quest undertaken to get two items of the same cause would inevitably point back to the two of them. ]

I think my first priority's going to be how to actually learn how to use my shard. [A pointed look.] If I'm going to protect the thing I should know what it can really do.

People from the other side will know what your shard can do whether or not you learn to activate it. It has a signature, and it would be better to hide it now than later. You know, with all the trouble you've been getting into.

[ there's a pause and he waves his fingers. ]

How about this? Find something to cloak it, and then we'll talk activation.

Dude, there's a reason we've been sticking to neutral territories. I don't really want Nico getting killed and I'm pretty anti-death, too. [But that catches his attention suddenly.]

You know how to activate them?

[ Loki taps a dark nail in the center of his sternum, and then holds up a finger to his lips. ]

That depends on who's asking.

[He lifts both eyebrows.]

Not anybody I know. [That is to say Loki please teach him.] Whenever Morla comes back, that's the first thing I'm asking her for.

[ there's a moment of "hm," where he almost looks thoughtful. he purses his lips, and he manages to look a bit more innocent than he normally does. unfortunately for him the innocent work doesn't generally work, because his face naturally makes him look like he's always scheming something. ]

[ Loki looks casual, as if he's not entirely surprised by this intensely personal revelation. instead he leans his cheek on his knuckles and watches Hiro with mild interest. ]

...I'm going to come back to why training Billy to pinpoint these things is really weird in a sec. Billy I can understand thinking that, maybe, but you? The only reason I'm telling you is so that maybe you can convince him that's not actually true. He's your friend.

[A beat.] And there are no affections involved.

You've followed him into the grips of death, aided him in fulfilling a quest of his own doing, I'd say that there's affection involved.

[ he looks at his fingernails casually. ]

Because it doesn't make sense? That seems like a poor reason to reject affection. Say—oh—it is true, and you are crushing hopelessly on him, every moment that you deny yourself what you feel is another moment where you're grappling at a whole lot of nothing.

You can turn your head, cover your ears and stubborn yourself into loneliness if you'd like, or you can enjoy the prospect of being someone's companion.

I like the first option because there's less of a chance of everything getting destroyed. Besides, Jason was already freaking out because Nico was Seelie. Can we not imagine what he'd do if he ever thought there was more to it than that?

Anyway crushes are supposed to be girl-stuff. This is a little more complicated than that so yeah. First option. I know how to work by myself. I don't know how to companionize myself. [Hiro. Hiro that's not even a word.] Besides I already told you this once. I'm not interested in kissing people. Or dating people.

[Ergo...the problem.] I need to use all of the free time I have working on the R&D and figuring out how to accomplish Shuck's task anyway.

That would be awesome...besides. Nico doesn't feel the same way so there's pretty much no point entertaining the idea. We're friends. I just got him to admit he trusts me in December. I'm not crazy enough to give him a reason not to. And anyway I came here to learn more from Redgate and see if I can pick up spare info to take back with me for Shuck's task anyway, not talk about the fact that I sometimes daydream about kissing my friends. Think you can help me with that?

[ entirely the wrong assumption. not only the wrong assumption, but there Hiro goes continuing the train of thought. it's something that generally Loki would let go, sweep it away and let it run its own course, but that has proven to be a poor assumption on his part.

he holds up a hand to him, and then points a thumb backward. ]

[ Loki was the god of a lot of things. chaos, mischief, lies and occasionally he found dominion over fire. it was less literal and more metaphorical, Loki had a hand in passion, and his wants became needs and he dragged himself out to create meticulous plans. ]

There's an immense amount of destruction bearing down on us, banking on the actions of Seelie versus Unseelie that there doesn't seem like there's a lot of space in between for much else.
