PLANS
Mostly building a CR base. Reuniting with Billy Kaplan, possible adventures with Magneto, and building both of those relationships. He'll be possibly teaching some low-level sorcery to a few select students, depending on how the idea itself is received. Otherwise, he plans on traveling around to see some of the sights along Dorchadas (and further, depending). He'll be looking into the sorcery within the world, as well as various kinds of sorcerous explosives, and different kinds of poisons. He'll want to examine the political structure, myths and find out more of the details about the war itself. There may be some rebellions and messing-up-of-things included in this, possibly with anti-shardbearer sentiments.
SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS
✖ Part-time adjunct professor of illusion at a mage uni. Spreading the general illusion bits around town. Gaining some very interesting information from said exploits.
✖ Saber's super super super secret R&D project. There will be trials and errors.
✖ Possible dabblings with the Midnight Court.
✖ Rin, Johnny, Magneto, Zuko, Sansa, Sam, Maleficent
QUESTS
✖ REDGATE | The Walking Dead
TIMELINE OF EVENTS
SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May) |
- MARCH—Roc, the king of the birds, throws some awful snowstorms across drabwuld. Since Loki's a frost giant, he likely won't become a Lokisicle, but he'll try to find some creative ways to get people un-frozen.
- MARCH—Boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons.
- APRIL—Histrionic Loki with a crazy emotionally-driving harp in his dreams. He'll find it and destroy it. This also might be an interesting time for his CR, since he'll be a little more sensitive and vulnerable.
- APRIL—Boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons.
- MAY—Golden swans migrate, devouring and destroying. Loki will be capturing and collecting them to gain some wealth.
- MAY—Possibly beginning to find a place to settle after the monarchs leave. Teaching some low-level chaos magic to a few new faces that he's possibly bunking with.
|
SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug) |
- OVERVIEW—Refining his own abilities (depending on his boons) and continuing to foster the chaos magic abilities of those who may be around him during that time. Also helping Billy Kaplan with his finesse.
- JUNE—Checking on some of the Jabberwock sites that are affected with the rot. He can't do much in regards to healing, but it'll be a good opportunity to meet CR with the people who may have a better those abilities.
- JUNE—pOSSIBLE MAGICAL TOURNEY?? Using magic? Probably not, but he's very curious to see what other people in the world can do, so he may check it out for observational purposes, and to see if he can learn any new tricks.
- JULY—The sudden violence wrought by the anti-shardbearer demonstration hits a head, and Loki heads to investigate. Possible meetings with Magneto about this, as well as Acts of Vengeance 2: Electric Bugaloo, but with more good intentions.
- AUGUST—That sure is a bazaar, Sansa. Insert domestic bazaar stuff here.
- AUGUST—Leathann's Festival of Lights. SCREW THAT, WE'RE GOING TO THE FESTIVAL OF SHADOWS. Domestic festival stuff here.
|
FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov) |
- SEPTEMBER—The magic that allows everyone to understand Drabbish goes nuts. Loki has the All-Tongue and can translate. Who am I kidding? He's going to mistranslate everything for everyone. Enjoy your miscommunications.
- SEPTEMBER—Drunk.
- OCTOBER—Drunk.
- OCTOBER—Oh Black Shuck too.
- NOVEMBER—Rounding up some of the mages/sorcerers from the Leathann prison break—but he's more willing to make deals than he is to turn them in. He'll be looking to gain whatever he can experience-wise/magic-wise/knowledge-wise from the escaped criminals. He also isn't against rounding them up, depending.
|
WINTER IN 2,701/2,702 (Dec, Jan, Feb) |
- DECEMBER—Drunk hunt.
- JANUARY—Heading back to Caer Scima to blow raspberries at the Seelie from a long ways away. IT'S REBUILT, TAKE THAT, SEELIE.
- FEBRUARY—Murder mystery at the children's festival.

[ word had reached him fairly quickly. usually it did when university gossip was concerned. it was unraveling a cipher when the message finally reached the end of the grapevine (him) from the beginning of the grapevine (the person who saw naked Lucifer at the door). the gossip had morphed into something amusing and partially true, less believable than what was in front of him, anyway. ]
But you got my attention.
[ he says, as if he's used to it. ]
Loki, at your service. Shall we take this inside?
[ it was an invitation into his room, which, well, was what the wards needed to lift for a visitor. ]
no subject
[But follow he does, wings brushing against the door frame as he enters. At least his horns aren't in the way.
Lucifer's a bizarre thing to look at like this, really; granted Loki's probably seen his own share of bizarre things, probably even worse, but his appearance is telling of just how true the whole "created to be perfect" spiel really was. He's like a masterfully crafted marble statue brought to life, his face never quite settling on that of a beautiful woman or a handsome man, but that's more a natural androgyny than it is magic. A simple trick of the eye, nothing more.
That said, it's just unnatural, and his appearance could easily be said to cross the line from beautiful to grotesque. At some point you reach a level of flawlessness that can only ever be unnatural and wrong, and God doesn't really have any idea about human aesthetics. It's fitting even his most beautiful creation is pretty freaky looking.
...also, fortunately, there ain't no junk down south. Makes the whole nude thing a little less indecent. ...maybe.]
Loki...I'll get straight to the point. I'd like to ask how legitimate your claim to that name really is.

okay okay okay okay.
Loki ushers him in, closing the door behind them. the runes glow brightly before sealing the door (open to all of those who are invited, coincidentally). there's a curiosity as he looks at him, but he's seen, well, Loki's seen a lot. there's a variety of creatures within the Ten Realms, and also those outside of it. he's been to space, mingled with extraterrestrials, as well as those oddities on Earth (which seem to keep popping up every which way). this isn't so strange. ]
Oh please—[ he starts. ]—I'm not really up for the game of "proving your divinity." I'd like to think us all beyond that.
[ it never really mattered to him whether or not people believed him. he was who he was, simply enough. ]
no subject
[Although it's actually the kind of answer he'd expect from the Loki he does know. Ain't that a kicker.]
So here's a better one. Any interesting visions lately? Perhaps of Gods and their quarrels, accompanied by intense, unexplained fear?
no subject
Descriptive and fittingly ominous, well done.
[ and there's a pause and he raises his hand with a wave. ]
Much like the vision itself. It was, ah—hm, I'd say about a month ago, if we want to get right down to specifics.
no subject
[He makes a similar gesture, but it's a full roll of the wrist as if to dismiss something.]
Not that I can tell you much, really. But another from the Seelie court and myself decided to search out those who saw it, spread the word...and eventually get together to see what we can come up with.
no subject
so it wasn't just him. that made things ... well, complicated. Loki really wasn't one for premonitions, but this was getting too large enough to ignore. ]
Well if this just doesn't bode ill before lunch.
If we all got much of the same, there must be a source, correct? Outside the realm of our own courts, of course. Curious, that.
no subject
[He can't think of one with enough power to pull this off. The fact most of them lose powers coming in only convinces him more it's something external, like Loki said.]
So that leaves however many of them exist in this world as leads. And if it isn't, then trying to ask would be a massive waste of time and effort, so I'm not sure it would be worthwhile to look into. Not yet anyway.
no subject
Perhaps ... [ he says, thoughtfully. ] ... but prophecies and visions are a curious thing. Either it's a warning, the end is near, beware the Biblical apocalypse of the gods, scream about Ragnarok, etcetera etcetera. Or—or, someone's found a very clever way to manipulate the gods.
Wars of that extent need catalysts, don't they? And while I wouldn't be surprised that old grudges bleed fresh upon old ground while the possibility of an end draws nearer, it does make me wonder ...
If giving us such visions may be the catalyst intended.
no subject
Present company excluded.
[#notallgods, etc etc. He ain't judgin' you buddy.
Yet.]

for now, adhering to something forced upon him left a bitter taste in his mouth. he was a creature of defiance, and he didn't like his hand being forced her one bit. ]
And I'm sure someone has start a war over which mid-90s sitcom is the best. Gods can be ... touchy. Unfortunately for us, it would come at the wrong time.
I'm a little sick of impending apocalypses.
