PLANS
Mostly building a CR base. Reuniting with Billy Kaplan, possible adventures with Magneto, and building both of those relationships. He'll be possibly teaching some low-level sorcery to a few select students, depending on how the idea itself is received. Otherwise, he plans on traveling around to see some of the sights along Dorchadas (and further, depending). He'll be looking into the sorcery within the world, as well as various kinds of sorcerous explosives, and different kinds of poisons. He'll want to examine the political structure, myths and find out more of the details about the war itself. There may be some rebellions and messing-up-of-things included in this, possibly with anti-shardbearer sentiments.
SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS
✖ Part-time adjunct professor of illusion at a mage uni. Spreading the general illusion bits around town. Gaining some very interesting information from said exploits.
✖ Saber's super super super secret R&D project. There will be trials and errors.
✖ Possible dabblings with the Midnight Court.
✖ Rin, Johnny, Magneto, Zuko, Sansa, Sam, Maleficent
QUESTS
✖ REDGATE | The Walking Dead
TIMELINE OF EVENTS
SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May) |
- MARCH—Roc, the king of the birds, throws some awful snowstorms across drabwuld. Since Loki's a frost giant, he likely won't become a Lokisicle, but he'll try to find some creative ways to get people un-frozen.
- MARCH—Boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons.
- APRIL—Histrionic Loki with a crazy emotionally-driving harp in his dreams. He'll find it and destroy it. This also might be an interesting time for his CR, since he'll be a little more sensitive and vulnerable.
- APRIL—Boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons boons.
- MAY—Golden swans migrate, devouring and destroying. Loki will be capturing and collecting them to gain some wealth.
- MAY—Possibly beginning to find a place to settle after the monarchs leave. Teaching some low-level chaos magic to a few new faces that he's possibly bunking with.
|
SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug) |
- OVERVIEW—Refining his own abilities (depending on his boons) and continuing to foster the chaos magic abilities of those who may be around him during that time. Also helping Billy Kaplan with his finesse.
- JUNE—Checking on some of the Jabberwock sites that are affected with the rot. He can't do much in regards to healing, but it'll be a good opportunity to meet CR with the people who may have a better those abilities.
- JUNE—pOSSIBLE MAGICAL TOURNEY?? Using magic? Probably not, but he's very curious to see what other people in the world can do, so he may check it out for observational purposes, and to see if he can learn any new tricks.
- JULY—The sudden violence wrought by the anti-shardbearer demonstration hits a head, and Loki heads to investigate. Possible meetings with Magneto about this, as well as Acts of Vengeance 2: Electric Bugaloo, but with more good intentions.
- AUGUST—That sure is a bazaar, Sansa. Insert domestic bazaar stuff here.
- AUGUST—Leathann's Festival of Lights. SCREW THAT, WE'RE GOING TO THE FESTIVAL OF SHADOWS. Domestic festival stuff here.
|
FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov) |
- SEPTEMBER—The magic that allows everyone to understand Drabbish goes nuts. Loki has the All-Tongue and can translate. Who am I kidding? He's going to mistranslate everything for everyone. Enjoy your miscommunications.
- SEPTEMBER—Drunk.
- OCTOBER—Drunk.
- OCTOBER—Oh Black Shuck too.
- NOVEMBER—Rounding up some of the mages/sorcerers from the Leathann prison break—but he's more willing to make deals than he is to turn them in. He'll be looking to gain whatever he can experience-wise/magic-wise/knowledge-wise from the escaped criminals. He also isn't against rounding them up, depending.
|
WINTER IN 2,701/2,702 (Dec, Jan, Feb) |
- DECEMBER—Drunk hunt.
- JANUARY—Heading back to Caer Scima to blow raspberries at the Seelie from a long ways away. IT'S REBUILT, TAKE THAT, SEELIE.
- FEBRUARY—Murder mystery at the children's festival.

a blink or a glance away and before them stands a man in green. there's a fur draped around his shoulders and an easy way that he holds himself. he's wrinkled, prunish and thin, with dark circles under his eyes and a sick grin on his face. there's a pair of horns that coil from his head. ]
Hyuck hyuck hyuck. Heading off so fast? Like you have a hot date or something. Aw, it's too bad—you probably thought I couldn't find you in this mess, but oh, I have my ways.
So why be a stranger?
[ he makes a sudden thumb jab to Jason, who he inches a tad closer to. ]
Who's this? [ GASP. ] A friend of yours? You should introduce us. It won't be the last either of you will be seeing of me.
[ there's a dangerous smile and an unpredictability to him. there are differences between this old, green cloaked man and the Loki who's suddenly frozen in place, eyes wide. ]
Don't keep us in suspense now, little Loki.
no subject
The unsettling part is how much he looks like Loki. The eyes are just as bright and green, and his nose is the same. But he's older and more gaunt, like the unhappy ending to a story.]
We're business partners, [Jason tells him.]
Guys like us don't become anything else. But we were busy quoting our Shakespeare, so why don't you buzz off? We've got a production to put on. [With the absence of himself, Jason feels confident and clear-headed.
He has a few plans in motion, and he just has to see which one he should utilize.]
no subject
It's best if I stay right here. Sit tight, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
[ he holds out his hands, clicks his heels together and then stalks toward Loki. Loki turns, his eyes wide, so struck with his presence that he's not sure if he should lash out or flee. the bile builds up in his throat and his face contorts. ] You—
[ King Loki makes a show of holding up his hands. ] Me! You haven't indulged your "business partner" yet, have you? [ those are a few added finger quotes. ] You should probably tell him. Formal relationships deserve at least that much respect, don't they, little Loki? If you don't introduce me, then I'll be forced into introduce me. [ there's a little wave to Jason. ] Soooo, about that. May as well let the bomb drop! Him being rude and all. I'm Loki, nice to meet you.
[ Loki bristles visibly, eyes widening, he goes to his side, pulling a golden blade from his hip. he holds it up at offense, but from the words of King Loki, it might look like defense. he's desperate, and it sinks in deeply, causing a sick feeling to coil at the base of his belly. it makes everything seem narrow and colorless, and he can hardly make out his own logic from his desire to prove him wrong.
unfortunately there's no argument that he knows of, no nothing that could be used as that proof. he feels pushed back, cornered, and the fear mounts behind the layers of ill emotions. ] You're locked away—you can't—
no subject
You're mistaking me for someone who cares. What are you, some clone? Some alternate Earth nonsense? Honestly, I'm more concerned that this is telling me that Loki doesn't age well.
[While Jason is taking the circumstances seriously, he's also curious. The fear in Loki's eyes tells him there's something he's missing. He puts his plans on the backburner. Loki is in pain. He doesn't look good.
But there's something about this other Loki that reminds him a lot of the Joker. It's the striking similarity he had seen before, and he wants to see how closely it plays to the same thing.]
But we'll skip the ageing cream. Introducing yourself for the obvious is like telling me a man in a mask with bat ears and a symbol makes him Batman. Give me some credit. [He watches King Loki coldly, eyes searching his features.
Come on, asshole. Spill something that isn't taunting bullshit.]
no subject
No credit's due after that array of wrong answers.
[ without warning Loki darts forward with a low growl of "enough of this." King Loki shifts and dances around the edge of the blade, grabbing Loki's wrist and dragging him forward, who looks suddenly like he may be ill. ]
I am what he will be. I'm his future. Isn't it nice to see what someone will look like in a few thousand years?
no subject
But the whole bad future thing, I've heard it's like routine where I come from. [That isn't a lie. He's about to bullshit the rest, though. Bad futures haven't exactly happened to him yet.]
The point is that it's what could be, not what is. Don't get so high and mighty about what hasn't happened. Besides, if we all fail here, it won't matter.
no subject
[ Loki takes the moment to struggle free, breaking his wrist from King Loki's grip but letting Gram clatter to the ground in the process. his body is so buzzed with mixed emotions heightened with adrenaline that he doesn't feel the scrape of the air against his throat, or his heart pounding against his sternum. all he knows is how real this feels, and he swallows the bitterness with the bile. he's out of control, and even the burning wants that turn to needs are blurred together into something of the same, and he can't tell one from the other.
there's just King Loki there talking to Jason. there's Jason's steady, disbelieving tone and King Loki's grating one mixed together as they speak back and forth. Loki opens his mouth and his voice catches. ] My mother enlisted him to help her. She wanted to write an end for Asgardia, something that didn't end in a cycle of horror. [ he's breathy, a hiss escaping his lips. ] But if that kind of future is—
Oh, right. Damning. [ King Loki chimes in, his tone patronizing. he turns back to Jason. ] You see, bucko, the future doesn't work the same way for everyone. That's why I'm here, to make sure that future happens. Next time it's a team up with Evil Jason. I call it now.
no subject
There have been a lot of moments where he's wondered if he should be doing differently. If he should find a different goal. What he does know is that this is a world that needs his approach. Here, he's not the evil one, the good guy gone wrong. He doesn't have to be.]
Even right now. [He flashes a grin to both of them, waving his hand.] You're saying a lot of stuff I just don't care about. I could end this stupid charade, but I'm looking for leverage. [The line is delivered cleanly. In part, that's because it's the truth.]
But you're so caught up in your bullshit that I haven't gotten anything. Who's Angela? Why do I care? What does it matter to me here? Frankly, it doesn't. Hell, at least when I had my little episode, I made sure to include you ... oh, I'm sorry. Both of you in it. That's how the timelines work, right? [Mentally, slowly, he's feeling the air out, feeling the bits he needs to know.
Soon, even despite his theatrics, he'll be able to cast a spell.
He just sure as hell hopes it works on Loki.]
no subject
[ King Loki approaches Loki again, this time to throw an arm over his shoulders and half tuck him in a sort of mocking bro-hug. Loki, on the other hand, recoils and tries to push away before he's met with resistance from himself and King Loki, who keeps a good hold on his shoulder. King Loki's voice lowers. ] Better just get out right now. Staying here isn't going to do anything for you. You know that, and I know that, and Hel, he just admitted to it.
[ Loki glances over his shoulder at Jason, his breath hitching. ]
no subject
But hey, why don't you do us a favor? Knock your pal out here, and we can have a talk. Well, yourself. You can knock yourself out, can't you? I'm tired of his quivering. And it's clear that you're holding back something. With him out of the picture, we can really have a go of things. What do you say? [The suggestion is in part because Jason wants his magic to be a fallback. He can already feel the pricks in the air waiting for him to execute a spell, but he isn't ready yet.
And, at least, he knows Loki might be able to take care of matters himself. Hell, he might even know what Jason means after an offer like that.
But who knows? He might be too caught up in feeling bad about himself. Jason hopes that he isn't.]
no subject
[ Loki turns suddenly, putting all of his weight into a full-force punch to King Loki's face. there's a rush of accomplishment and victory (and the pain in his fist brings him a little more back to reality). King Loki is taken by surprise enough that he wobbles backward on his heels, toppling over into a green, furry mess and a few ow ow ow ow ow ows. his form shifts like a reflection on the water, or a pattern that the eye produces after staring too long at the sun, and he slowly gets to his knees, determined not to let that set him back.
Loki breathes, his eyes narrowing. ] You're not real.
Of course I am, but this was certainly a clever trick. [ he starts, wincing. ] Time's going to run out, little Loki. Soon enough, time will run out. It always does for those like us.
no subject
And really, isn't that all he needs to get?]
But hey, since you won't bug off ... [Jason motions toward Loki with a flicker of his hand, a sleeping spell hitting him. His practice with magic isn't strong, but he's been focusing long enough to try to strike. His fingers curl into his fist as he mentally focuses more, hoping to really make the magic seep in.]
